Education & experience
Dr. Murat Carak graduated from Istanbul University’s Cerrahpaşa Medical School in 1984 and completed his specialist training at Claude Bernard University in Lyon, France, between 1987 and 1992.
In 1988, he began his work in in vitro fertilisation with Dr. Dominique Boulieu at Prof. Dr. Czyba’s reproduction laboratory. He further developed his experience in IVF procedures with Prof. Dr. Laufer at Hadassah University in Jerusalem.
He trained in perinatology and obstetric ultrasound in the departments of Prof. Dr. Rudigoz and Prof. Dr. Thoulon, and worked in gynaecological and endoscopic surgery alongside Prof. Dr. Rochet and the late Prof. Dr. Dargent.
He has worked in his private practice in Istanbul since 1993. He founded the perinatology and IVF/micro-injection departments at the Dr. Pakize İ. Tarzi Clinic and works as an affiliated physician at Istanbul’s VKV American Hospital.
Dr. Murat Carak speaks English and French and has served Istanbul’s international community for many years.
